DIY Romantic Hoop Centerpiece
DIY Romantic Hoop Centerpiece
This centerpiece is so simple to make - I actually made this in under an hour, plus it’s SUPER budget friendly!! This centerpiece can not only be used for Valentine’s Day, but it’s super cute to use for weddings and baby showers. It can be customized for any color you choose and it’s so fast to make - I actually made this bad boy in under an hour for a romantic date night with hubby!! I also made a floral heart one, too - don’t forget to check that one out as well :D. Let’s dive in!!
Materials Needed for this Project:
2x2x8 1/4 Pine Wood
12” Embroidery Hoop
Stain or Paint (optional)
Sandpaper
Flowers (I used burgundy spray roses)
Flower Tubes
Greens (I used silver Dollar Eucalyptus)
Zip Ties
Floral Wire
Tools Needed for this Project:
Nail gun with Nails
Drill with Drill Bit
Flower Shears/Scissors
Wire Cutters
Instructions:
To begin, I took a piece of wood I had left over from the flower heart centerpiece, sanded it down, and nailed an embroidery hoop. I also stained it and allowed it to dry.
Once the stain was dry, I added zip ties and added as much silver dollar eucalyptus as I wanted.
I initially wanted to add flowers in the greens, then last minute I realized I didn’t want to, but instead have them suspended so I drilled a few holes at the top of the centerpiece.
I don’t want the flowers to wilt, so I cut them down and put them in these tubes to be able to drink and secured the tube to the green wire and looped it in the hole at the top of the embroidery hoop and that’s it!
Once I was finished with the centerpiece, I finished up the look by adding DIY candle holders along with some rose petals. You can also add some moss, or greens in addition to the rose petals. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out! It’s so gorgeous.
TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS:
If you are making this for an event, I would suggest creating this the day before or add some flower tubes to the ends of the eucalyptus so it can be kept and not wilt. I will also suggest adding the flowers to the tubes the day-of so they do not droop since the bulbs can be pretty heavy.
